Brattle Principal Ryan Hledik participated in an on-demand webinar for the Smart Electric Power Alliance (SEPA) Virtual Grid Evolution Summit, which took place virtually on July 28–30 and will release bonus sessions on August 12.

Mr. Hledik participated in the panel on “Load Flexibility: Yoga for the Power Grid.” Load flexibility is important for the power grid as it provides the agility necessary to integrate intermittent renewables and new loads from transportation, electrification, and electric heating. The panelists discussed a recent Brattle report, “The National Potential for Load Flexibility,” which concluded that transforming the US market through load flexibility could result in benefits worth more than $15 billion annually.
