Mr. Ellingsen is an expert in accounting and auditing matters.

A former audit partner with over 36 years of experience with Deloitte, he worked in the Stamford, CT office as an engagement partner and as the Accounting and Auditing Coordinator for the office. He also worked in the National Office, where he was the Partner-in-Charge of firm-wide auditing policies and, later in his career, an accounting and auditing expert in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC). At the OGC, Mr. Ellingsen’s duties included testimony before the SEC enforcement division and state boards of accountancy. He also served on the Auditing Standards Board, where he was active in the development of the “Expectation Gap” standards.

Since his retirement from Deloitte, Mr. Ellingsen has served as an expert witness, and his experience includes testifying in confidential PCAOB hearings.
