Brattle Principals Frank Graves and Hannes Pfeifenberger will moderate sessions at the Gulf Coast Power Association’s (GCPA) 32nd Annual Spring Conference, taking place April 17-18, 2018 in Houston, TX.

The event gathers industry experts and key stakeholders to discuss a variety of electric power-related topics, including retail market issues, competitive transmission, distributed generation, and cost recovery.

Mr. Graves will moderate the session “Retail Market Issues,” which will discuss the increasing legal challenges residential markets are facing from Attorneys General and other groups, including whether there are changes to be made to rules or statues that would improve retail markets.

Mr. Pfeifenberger will moderate the session “Changing Mix of Generation Fleet and its Impact on Market Designs.” Panelists will address how markets are reacting to FERC’s response to the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Notice of Proposed Ratemaking (NOPR) and other regulatory actions taken at the federal and state levels.
