Brattle Principal Sam Newell will present at the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S., Inc.’s (GACC South) event, “Texas-Germany Bilateral Dialogue on Challenges and Opportunities in the Electricity Market,” taking place on February 27, 2018 in Austin, TX.

The event, organized together with adelphi consult on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, aims to deepen Germany’s policy dialogue with the United States, especially with Texas undergoing a transformative change in its electricity market in North America. Stakeholders such as energy policymakers and system operators will discuss common challenges, as well as exchange experiences and best practices with policies designed to address these issues.

Dr. Newell will present during the panel discussion, “Increasing System Flexibility and Integrating Renewable Energy Sources into the Grid: Instruments and Experiences in Texas and Germany.”
