Dr. Economides is an expert on network economics, electronic commerce, antitrust, and public policy.

Dr. Economides’ fields of specialization include telecommunications, the economics of technical compatibility and standardization, and the organization of financial markets and payment systems. He has consulted for the FTC, various financial institutions and foreign governments, and served as an expert in many antitrust and regulatory matters.

He currently serves as Professor of Economics at the NYU Stern School of Business and Executive Director of the Networks, Electronic Commerce and Telecommunications Institute. His website, www.stern.nyu.edu/networks, has been ranked as one of the top four economics websites by The Economist.
