Brattle Associate Haris Tabakovic is the recipient of the Harvard University Spring 2017 Distinction in Teaching Award for his course “Innovation and Intellectual Property.”

Award recipients will be honored during a reception at the Cabot Library in Cambridge, MA on October 18th, 2017.

The award honors teaching fellows, teaching assistants, and course assistants, and is sponsored by the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning in cooperation with the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Education.

Mr. Tabakovic’s course provides a fundamental introduction to the economics of innovation and intellectual property. The theories and findings covered in this course form the intellectual foundation for the study of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology strategy, with a particular emphasis on the analysis of microeconomic, legal, and institutional foundations of innovation and its impact on social welfare.
