Dr. Dow is a Professor of Finance at the London Business School. He also serves as a consultant and provides expert testimony in international arbitration matters.

His consulting work often focuses on issues of valuation, cost of capital, and corporate governance. He has provided expert testimony in numerous global forums, including the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), and the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA).

Previously the Research Dean at London Business School, Dr. Dow has also held teaching positions at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy – where he was the head of the Economics Department as well as a Professor of Economics – and the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests focus on corporate finance, including company financing and capital structure, cost of capital, asymmetric information, capital markets, and intermediation.

Dr. Dow has authored many articles for peer-reviewed academic journals, including The Review of Financial Studies, The Journal of Finance, Econometrica, and the Journal of Political Economy. He is a former Editor of The Review of Economic Studies.
