Brattle Principal Dr. Ahmad Faruqui will discuss energy sector disrupters at the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) Regulatory Forum 2021 on Wednesday, June 2.

Dr. Faruqui will join the “Innovative Regulatory Policies to Address the Four Ds” panel from 11:40 a.m.–12:25 p.m. (PT) | 2:40–3:25 p.m. (ET). The virtual forum will focus on four disruptive forces taking hold in the energy sector: decarbonization, decentralization, digitalization, and democratization. Each is placing pressure on traditional electric utility business models and the regulatory frameworks that govern them. The panel will feature electricity stakeholders that are exploring new regulatory policies for disrupters, such as electric vehicle charging and distributed energy resources (DERs).
