The theme of the conference, “Regulating in a Time of Innovation,” will focus on disruptive innovations that are currently transforming the fundamentals of the energy value chain worldwide. The conference sessions will address the forefronts of regulation in a time of innovation, focusing on empowered consumers, dynamic markets, and sustainable infrastructure.

Dr. Ros will present during the panel session, “Empowered consumers: technology driving choice.” He and his co-panelists will discuss trends in pricing that facilitate consumer decision-making, including technology, market design, and rate structures. The panel will also address whether individual consumer choices lead to a system with wide societal benefits, how new options have facilitated access to energy, and if economy-sharing models are arising in the delivery of energy services to final consumers.
