Dr. Denni is a competition economist with more than 15 years of experience working on antitrust investigations and merger evaluations across a wide range of sectors.

He has been involved in several mergers and antitrust cases in the digital, transport, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical sectors, both at the Italian and European levels. In recent years, Dr. Denni was the case handler of a major antitrust investigation concerning an abuse of dominant position in the digital sector.

Before joining Brattle, Dr. Denni was a case handler at the Italian Competition Authority, where he also served as an economic adviser to the President and the Secretary-General. From 2014 to 2018, Dr. Denni was a Seconded National Expert at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition, dealing with antitrust cases in rail, aviation, and digital. He also has experience working at the European Investment Bank, the Italian Institute of Statistics, and the Italian Research Council.
