Dr. Ali is a competition economist with a focus in analyzing antitrust claims rising from mergers and firm conduct. His work spans the healthcare, technology, and aviation industries.

Prior to joining Brattle, Dr. Ali conducted economic analyses and provided litigation support as an antitrust economist for the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. There, he reviewed prospective mergers and past acquisitions as well as investigated allegedly anticompetitive conduct, such as price fixing, market allocation, and exclusionary conduct.

Dr. Ali enjoys leisurely bicycling along the New England coast. To date, he has biked in Martha’s Vineyard, the North Shore, and from Maine to Massachusetts. He aims to someday bike from Boston to New York City.
