The Northeast Justice Center retained Brattle to assist with a group of class action matters to analyze whether residents of three different manufactured home communities were economically harmed by each park owner’s failure to provide the minimal services required for maintaining each community’s essential infrastructure. Using well-established economic principles and available data, a Brattle team then calculated the damages to the residents of each community. Our expert prepared expert reports estimating damages in each case, all of which have settled and in combination will– pending judicial approval – result in more than $5 million being returned to residents.
